A Few Things To Note...

Today I made an announcement about the magazine that I both edit and publish. Starting immediately, MYTHIC: A Science Fiction & Fantasy Magazine has been placed on hiatus. I won't go into the whys—let alone the particulars—here, but I did post something brief on the MYTHIC website. I have not closed the door on the magazine completely, but I am being forced to pause it for the time being.

Back in April, I neglected to make another announcement concerning my monthly short story collections, Kilgore's Five Stories. As of the fifteenth issue, I ceased that publication as well. I could not maintain the pace of creating new short stories given other things happening in my life. Maybe I'll pick it back up later. Who knows? 

As you can tell, I've been clearing the decks of things that take up a great deal of my time and require resources that I don't currently have. There have been several issues involving my publishing company that have required my close attention even while I've had to intensify the search for additional sources of income to make ends meet. This has taken the form of freelance writing projects. I got my start as a writer producing articles and content for the web and now, I had mounted a comeback while focusing more of my attention on fiction-related projects. I am once more becoming a ghostwriter to pay the bills.

I've had to pare down in many ways and the projects mentioned above have been forced onto the chopping block for now. Once things improve, I hope to return to some or even all of these projects on a firmer footing.
