Update: The Shape Of The Week

I'm coming in with this post on an early Friday morning. As you may have noticed, there was no Wednesday post. Life has thrown me a few curve balls this week. Nearly everyone in the house has been sick, including me. Still, things are progressing in my professional life. This is going to be a few updates.

What's New At Founders House Publishing?

We've been busy selling our first book, Echoes From The Past, my father's memoir of family research and the story of his run-ins with country music legends like Johnny Cash, June Carter Cash, Merle Kilgore, and Hank Williams Jr. We're looking at selling over a 120 copies since the book became available a month ago. We hope this is just the beginning. Echoes From The Past is a fascinating read for those who have ever wondered what could happen  when you uncover your family roots.

Upcoming event: Wednesday, March 30, 2010. Danville Public Library 6pm to 8pm. We currently have a tentative date for what may be the first book signing. Please check here or at www.founders-house.com for further details as they develop.

Just A Note: Our submission guidelines are open if you would like to submit a proposal or send a query. We are open to both fiction and non-fiction. Please contact us about our current interests too. They will eventually be listed on the site itself.

The Freelance Still Flows

While I have certainly been hindered lately with sickness and other obligations, I am still working a full schedule of freelance projects. I've had to work through technical issues too, but I think they're okay now. Still looking for the best freelance writing opportunities I can; these are the types that will help me develop my skill as a writer.

That's All For Now...

I'll be back on the regular writing schedule next week. I just wanted to check in and pass on a few bits. If anything else comes up, I'll let all of you know. Take care and keep writing...bye.
