I'm officially on track. Actually, I'm just slightly ahead on the daily count now. With any luck, I won't have any mishaps and will complete this book on time or early.
I was trying to figure out how to be more informative, maybe offer a bit of insight into the creative process during this contest. But I'm finding that I just go back to simple idea of making good daily progress producing new words of fiction. That's just what it takes. Don't overthink things and definitely don't make it super important. Honestly, the more important you make your daily writing the more difficult it can become.
I know it's counter-intuitive but despite the fact that National Novel Writing Month is an event, you must not make the writing an event. It's just having some fun each day making up a story. You are entertaining yourself, first and foremost.
What happens to the book when it's done is something completely separate. So, I want to emphasize that you should just have fun. Enjoy the process.
