This post comes in late on this Friday evening. In fact, it's almost midnight. The plans I had for today had to change. Most of us know how life is usually that way. You have to be able to go with the flow of it sometimes.
As you may have read, today was a good day because it was the official release date for Echoes From The Past, my very first work as a publisher. In Wednesday's post, I gave all of you a brief summary of the memoir. In the coming weeks, we will begin to explore our own little corner of the publishing world. My publishing company, Founders House, will start to get some local press. Those of you who are reading are encouraged to spread the word. This coming Tuesday, my father, the author, will be interviewed by the local newspaper. (I'll get to tag along and maybe say a few words about the business.)
Other opportunities will follow for me to publicize this new venture. I hope I will be able to answer all of your questions. Please go to the publishing website to order the book if you'r interested. Also, stop by if you're curious about publication. I'm still doing some tweaking of the submission guidelines. I hope to have them officially open here in the next couple of weeks.
Meanwhile, I still have to get things done for various freelancing ventures. The work is still coming and financial obligations will not wait for profits to materialize from book sales.
At the end of the day, I'm still excited. Tired, but still definitely excited. It's a giant leap. I do hope you'll follow along as I continue down this path. I will still be talking about the world of freelance writing. Writing, books, and publishing are all passions I hope to explore. Please leave comments. Let me know what you would like to talk about.
Thanks for reading.
